The library is concerned with multiplying its acquisitions quantitatively and qualitatively, to built up powerful and integrated collections, serving the community at all levels in conformity with their demands and interests. The library administration makes its efforts to update and develop these collections constantly.
The library adopts open shelves system that enables library users to use books, references and periodicals freely. The printed materials are divided into 10 main classes of the human knowledge according to Dewey Decimal Classification scheme (DDC). Arabic and non-Arabic periodicals are arranged alphabetically by subjects.
